Is Star Cluster Conquest free?
Yes. It is free to download and play. It shows ads and offers optional purchases (Credit packs, premium factions and removing ads).
Does it work offline?
Yes. The campaign and skirmish matches run on your device, so you can play without a connection.
Which platforms is it on?
Android, on Google Play, and iPhone, on the App Store.
Is there multiplayer?
There is no online multiplayer. You play against AI rivals, up to 5 in a skirmish, and the Arena collects ranked duels, also against the AI. The social side is that a skirmish seed always generates the same map, so you can pass it to a friend and compare results, and that you can invite friends: the inviter and the invited both get Credits when the friend finishes the tutorial (Android).
What kind of game is it?
A casual, minimalist real-time strategy (RTS) game. Stars produce ships on their own, and you drag from star to star to send fleets. See real-time strategy on mobile.
How do I play?
Drag from one of your stars to another to send a fleet, and hold a star to choose how many ships (25, 50, 75 or 100%). Full instructions are in how to play.
How long is a match?
A few minutes.
How many levels does the campaign have?
30: five guided tutorial levels and twenty-five more. Each level gives 1 to 3 stars depending on your time. See the campaign guide and the game modes.
What is skirmish mode?
A mode where you choose the map size, the number of stars, the terrain and 1 to 5 opponents, each with a faction and difficulty. See game modes.
What is the Arena?
Ranked duels against AI rivals, with ranks from Bronze to Master. It is not online multiplayer. See the game modes.
What is a seed?
A code that produces a map. The same seed gives the same map every time, so you can replay a map or share it.
What factions are there?
Six. Solar Vanguard, Boreal Bastion, Verdant Swarm and Void Wanderers are available without buying anything. Celestial Armada (a real-money purchase) and Crimson Dominion (2,000 Credits) are premium. See factions.
What are Credits?
The in-game currency. You earn them by winning and by the rating stars, and you can also watch a rewarded ad for free Credits. You spend them on unlocking and upgrading abilities and on buying boosts.
What is a boost?
An extra you can take into a match with any faction. The four are Shield, Quick Reinforcement, EMP and Deep Space Mine, and you can take up to 2. Each has 1 use per match and costs 10 Credits. A boost you take but do not use is not spent. See abilities and boosts.
Does paying make me win?
Purchases only affect your own matches against the AI. The game has no online play, so there are no other players to gain an advantage over.
When do ads appear?
The free version shows ads (Google AdMob). Ads never interrupt a match in progress. You can also choose to watch a rewarded ad for free Credits or to double the Credits from a result. On first launch you decide whether ads can be personalized.
How do I remove ads?
There is an optional purchase that removes ads.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no login, and the game does not ask for your name, email, phone number or location.
What data does the game collect?
Usage events (such as a completed level) tied to a random code, the country set on your device (it is not your location), plus the data needed for ads, purchases, notifications and measuring our campaigns. It is all described in the game's privacy policy.
Which languages does it support?
Portuguese, English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Japanese.
Will my progress be saved if I change phones?
No. Progress, Credits and settings are stored on the device and do not move to another phone. There is no cloud save today, so uninstalling the game or clearing its data erases progress. Purchases (factions, ad removal) come back when you reinstall and sign in with the same store account, and there is also a "Restore purchases" option in the Shop.
